Following a 6 year battle with Parkinson's disease and Prostate Cancer, Al Crisp passed away suddenly at his home in Severn Bridge, Ontario on Sunday July 18th, 2021 with his partner and wife of a combined 50 years Christine Beasey-Crisp, and their 4 legged family especially rescue bassets Wally and Willow.
Al is also survived, by and will be deeply missed by his sister Susan Crisp (Kirk & Chad), brother-in-law Jeff Beasley (Tracy), Niece and nephew Sara and David Beasley all of Somerset, U.K. Predeceased by his parents Arthur (Art) Crisp (2002) and Shirley Crisp (2008), mother in law Yvonne Beasley (2006) of Frome Somerset, UK and honorary "brother" in the UK John Spratley (2020)
Born in Toronto in 1946 Al started his long career as a truck driver in 1966, a job that took him all over North America before retiring as an owner-operator in 2007 to work locally for Muskoka Transport and Robinson Haulage.
A lifelong lover of all thing related to Railroad. Al will be missed by many train friends in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K.
A special thank you to the Homecare nurses who looked after him on Palliative care at home, for their understanding and patience dealing with a very strong willed individual.
In accordance with Al's wishes he is being cremated and no services will be held. An informal get together to toast his memory will be held in the Fall.
