Arnold Robert Willford

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arnold Willford at RVH, Barrie on March 7th after a brief but courageous battle with acute leukemia.  Beloved husband of Paula Willford (Cook) for 46 years (March 5, 1977), Loving father of Tracy Shepherd (Reg) and Kevin Willford (Maryori).  Cherished and proud Papa of Kole, Mason and Madison Shepherd and Camila and Miranda Willford.  Brother of Karen Torkos (Joe) and Harvey Willford (Barb).  Brother in-law to Pam & Dennis Scharfe, Peggy & Dan Parker, Bob & Sue Laurin.  Special Uncle to several nieces and nephews.

Arnold was born in Port Colborne, ON and moved to Gravenhurst in 1978.  He touched so many hearts during his lifetime.  He was kind, thoughtful, hard working and was a great friend.  Even though he moved away from Port Colborne 45 years ago he still maintained a close relationship with his childhood friends.  Family and friends were so important to him.

The family will receive friends at Muskoka Discovery Centre, 275 Steamship Bay Rd., Gravenhurst on Friday, March 24th from 2-4 pm and from 7-9 pm.  There will be a Celebration of Life at Muskoka Discovery Centre  on Saturday, March 25th starting at 11 am with a short visitation for out of town guests followed by a service at 12 pm and a luncheon.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a family graveside burial.

If so desired donations may be made to Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie or Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto. Both hospitals provided excellent and compassionate care to Arnold.  By special request the family would be honoured if you can, to please become a blood donor and make a special donation in memory of Arnold.

Our hearts are broken and our lives will never be the same without this special man in our life.
