Diane Laura Hodge
February 19, 1961-January 18, 2026
Diane Laura Hodge passed away at Algonquin Grace Hospice, early in the morning, on January 18, 2026, surrounded by loving family. Diane was the beloved wife of Joel
Erichsen-Brown.
She was the cherished Mom of Jeremy Boston (Amber) of Whitby and Alexander Moore (Kelsey) of Huntsville, and loving Stepmom to Jessica Loyst, Port Colborne, and Megan
Erichsen-Brown, of Huntsville.
Diane loved her grandchildren, Lily, Carson and Logan, and Max, Scarlett, and Leo. She was the much loved sister of Sharon(Rick) McDonald, Teeswater, Dave Hodge, Guelph,
and Ross Hodge, Huntsville, and in-laws, Vicki(Glenn) Forward, of Whitney, and Casey Erichsen-Brown, Guelph. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Predeceased by her Mother-in-law, Bev Erichsen-Brown.
Diane was born February 19, 1961, in Huntsville, to William “Bud” and Ruth(Smith) Hodge, both predeceased. She lived her whole life in Huntsville, maintaining friendships throughout her life. Diane enjoyed camping. It was rare to find Diane and Joel home on a weekend, once the season started. They had a close group of camping friends who will miss her. She particularly liked going camping to NASCAR races, where Diane and Joel met many more friends. She was a huge Kyle Busch fan.
Diane worked for Canada Post for 37 years, delivering Rural Mail. She will be missed by her co-workers, many of whom were close friends.
Diane had a special love for her pets, particularly her beloved Dover.
Diane has been cremated. A date for a spring Celebration of Life has not yet been determined.
Diane's family would like to extend our grateful thanks to the compassionate Doctors, Nurses, PSW's, and staff at Algonquin Grace Hospice for making Diane's passing as
comfortable and peaceful as possible.
