With great sadness we announce the passing of dorothy at The Pines in Bracebridge, at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late William Trevor. Loving mother of Anthony (Elinor) and Jan (Candace). She will be greatly missed by her grandson Trevor. survived by her dear sister Winifred, predeceased by sisters Elizabeth and Kathleen, and brother-in-laws Alan, Leonard & Trevor.
Survived by brother-in-aw Graham (Ann) amd many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was born and raised in Denton, England, and pursued a career in nursing. She first trained as a specialized children's nurse, then branched into caring for seniors and the elderly. Dorothy practiced nursing for 30 years in England.
In 1984 Dorothy and her husband Trevor and their children emigrated to Canada. The family ran Cottage Country Store in Uffington. Upon selling the store Dorothy went on to work at Macaulay Tree House daycare and Seniors for Seniors. She moved to Richmond BC in 2002 and worked as a live-in caregiver. In 2007, she returned to Ontario and retired in Huntsville. she enjoyed attending services at All Saints Anglican Church and developed many friendships. dorothy enjoyed writing poetry, travel, and collecting owl knick knacks.
