Doug peacefully passed away on March 15, 2023 at the Leacock Care Center in Orillia. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Kenneth Philp (Debbie) of Holland Landing and Gordon Philp of Muskoka. Much loved uncle of Kevin Philp (Shanni) of Burlington and Cindy Backus (Mark) of Pefferlaw. Survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Helen Philp (Ward) and Frank Philp.
Doug worked for many years as a Systems Analyst for Maple Leaf Mills and retired to live and enjoy his cottage at Lake of Bays, full time in 2006.
Doug was a avid train collector and admired all their was to trains.
If so desired, memorial donations to the Diabetes Society would be acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
