Doug passed away suddenly on the early morning of May 30, 2024 in his 66th year.
Doug was the son of Robert Wilson and Audrey Wilson (Laidler), both of whom have passed years prior. He was the middle of three children, and joins his older brother Arthur and younger sister Eleanor on the other side.
He leaves behind his wife Sandra (separated), his four children, Matthew (Lacy), Ryan, Alexander (Sarah), and Danielle.
Doug was a proud grandfather of his four grandchildren, Kaiden, Brooklynn, Barrett, and Nash.
He spent many years as a tow truck driver, operating the family business, Wilson's towing and recovery. A joint venture between him and his father. In his later years he worked as a car salesman before retiring.
He enjoyed country music, hunting and loved to fish. He would take any opportunity he could to drop a line with the hope of reeling in the next big catch. He also loved to watch hockey any chance he could especially if the Leafs were playing.
Doug was loved and will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
In honor of Doug's memory, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Society of the Canadian Mental Health Association would be acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
