Glass, Janet McTavish (Drummond)

 Peacefully at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, Bracebridge on July 9, 2021, in her 94th year.

Born in Hamilton to the late Janet and Charles Drummond. Janet was born at her family home on McAnulty Blvd. Mum was the youngest of four children. She was predeceased by her brothers Thomas and Charles and her sister Famie.

Mum is predeceased by her loving husband Bunn (2000). They shared 49 years of marriage together. Mum and dad met at Westinghouse Canada in Hamilton. They enjoyed nights out dancing at the Brant Inn and the Palais Royale. Mum was an avid softball player and cheerleader at HTI. Mum enjoyed cheering on dad when he played hockey for Westinghouse Hockey and Dundas Merchants. In her later years she was devoted Blue Jays fan.

Survived by her children Jim (Phyllis), John (Donna), Brenda (Erin), her granddaughters Kristen (James) and Kerri (Miguel), her great-grandchildren, Haley, Cynthia, Austin, Wyatt, and Khloe. GG was so very proud of the achievements of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In 2015, mum made the move to Muskoka to be close to family. It was Muskoka that Mum and Dad came up to on their honeymoon 70 years ago when they went to Milford Manor at Milford Bay.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Castle Peak Retirement Residence, the many helpers from Care Partners, and other community helpers for their compassionate care. Thank you to the staff at SMMH Emergency Dept, ICU and 2 North for their attentive care.

Mum will be missed by all that knew and loved her, including her grand doggies Sandman and George. Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at Woodlands Cemetery, Burlington.
