It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Joyce Winnifred Cottrill at Hospice Huntsville on November 3rd, 2024 at the age of 73.
Joyce was born on April 29, 1951 to the late Harvey and Viola Payne.
Devoted wife to John for 42 years, sharing their unconditional love for each other.
Proud and loving Mom to Kathy-Jo McAdam (Watt) and Karen Watt.
Grandma will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Scott (Sydney), Ethan, Tatum, Kilian, and Devlin.
Joyce leaves behind her Sister June Payne-Tebby, dear Brother-in-law Tim Cottrill (Shelley) and Sister-in-law Ruth Cottrill. Joyce is pre-deceased by her Brother John Payne and Brother-in-law Jim Tebby.
Joyce's career path started at a young age at Huntsville Dairy and continued through different types of jobs including Hidden Valley Ski Hill and the Huntsville Hospital as a Dietary Aide.
Joyce suffered from various medical issues and had to end her career at an early age. Unable to continue with her love of hunting, quilting, baking and sewing, she spent her days with John and their fur baby Ruby and continued to enjoy her Bingo trips with Tina.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the Paramedics, the medical team at the Hospital, Dr. McClure, Nurse Love and the team at the Hospice.
Celebration of life will take place at the Gospel Hall this Saturday November 9th from 1pm-4pm, 65 West Road, Huntsville.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice Huntsville would be greatly appreciated
