It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Joyce at Andy's House in Port Carling Ontario on August 11, 2024. She was in her 94th year.
Joyce was one of 5 children from the late Alfred and Viola (Hillman) of Falkenburg, Ontario.
She had 4 beautiful children; Linda (deceased), Donald, Michael (deceased), and Catherine, and 1 beloved step-son Douglas.
Blessed with 7 grandchildren; Angela, Christian, Neale, Elizabeth, Jasmine, Clinton, and Julie
And 16 great-children; Willow Bae, Jordan, AJ, Mary Ann, Iris, Ivy, Erick, Joselito, Shawn, Christopher, Kirsten, Colton, Alexander, Michael, Jordana, and Maxi.
Dear sister of her late siblings, Gordon Hillman, Stanley Hillman, William Hillman, and Fay Hillman/Buck.
A cherished Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She leaves behind the love of her life George Skilliter, and her fur-baby Daphne, both of whom will miss her dearly.
We would like to thank Dr. Kappos and the caring nursing staff at both, the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital and at Andy's House.
Cremation has taken place, and as per her wishes there will be not be a "1 day" event set aside for a Celebration of Life. She wanted a celebration every day. See***
***"Mom asked that we all celebrate her life and love everyday..plant a tree, or flowers..share stories and pictures.. teach your kids and grandkids the ditties we all learned growing up. And please remember everyday how much she loved you all. Cathy Walling"
For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joyce's memory to the Canadian Red Cross, or the Sick Kids Foundation, Toronto.
