It is with the heaviest of hearts that the Robertson family announce the passing of Kevin, who lost his short battle with cancer on Saturday, February 13th at Huntsville Hospice with his children by his side. Beloved father to Matthew and Sarah (Trevor). Loving son of Alexander and Laurelle (nee Tremblay). Kevin also leaves his brothers Paul (Lea) and Scott. He is predeceased by his sister Jill (Wayne). He was an amazing uncle to his nieces Shelby and Kristy and will be missed by his furry little girl, Sophie. Kevin was born in New Liskeard and growing up, he played hockey and fastball and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was particularly great at fastball and slow-pitch, sharing many laughs and memories at the ballpark with family and friends throughout the years. Kevin had a successful career working as a lineman at Hydro One and Lakeland Power for over 40 years and shortly after retiring, could be seen working part-time at Home Depot. His greatest love in life was his children and he was always up for a joke and a laugh.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Kevin’s care team of doctors and staff at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Huntsville District Memorial Hospital and a special thank you to the staff at Huntsville Hospice for their kindness and compassion. If desired, expressions of sympathy and donations can be forwarded to the Huntsville Hospice. As requested, a cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held during the summer (date to be determined) when we can celebrate safely together.
