Lory met the love of his life Barb while completing a landscaping job in the complex where she lived. Barb was
selling her motorcycle; he went to see her about it this was the beginning of a beautiful life together. They were
married March 21, 1982.
Always there for his friends and family. He spent his summers with his grandchildren at the trailer in Penbrook
Resort (Emsdale). He loved sitting in the sunroom, watching everything going on and saying hi to all his
friends. Wednesday was a special day to look forward to when he would join his friends for Euchre at the park
hall.
Lory enjoyed going to the casino and playing to double his money, it might have only been a quarter, but it
made him happy. He would drive an hour and tell us it was to save 10 cents, we know it was the drive that he
really went for. He was memorable and made friends everywhere he went. He would go to the same Tim
Hortons on Hwy 11, they knew him so well they would have his order ready with him only walking in.
An avid outdoors man everyone who knows Lory knew he had a love for hunting & fishing. Lory looked forward
to hunting every year with his friends Ken Foster & Chuck Learning and spent a good chunk of the year
preparing for hunting. His son Sean made him a tear drop trailer to take hunting; Lory was so proud to tell
everyone. Lory was fortunate to be able to haul the trailer all the way to Atikokan to hunt in 2023, this was the
highlight of Lory’s year.
Lory’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Huntsville hospital for all the care and
support provided to Lory and his family.
In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations to be made to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation
