Peter Munshaw Ellis

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Peter after a short but aggressive battle with cancer.

Peter was born in Toronto, ON to parents William Jack Ellis and Doris Ada (Munshaw).  Jack never got to meet his newborn son as he was killed in action during Germany WW11 on February 19, 1945.  Peter grew up across from Bass Lake on property his Grandfather built cabins on, that are still there to this day. 

Peter was the devoted husband & partner to Kim (nee Sylvestre) for 47 years.  Loving Father to David (Karen) of Coldwater, ON, Shelby (Trent Elyea) of Huntsville, ON, Reghan (Dave Weismiller) of Bracebridge, ON and Christopher (Danielle) of Shelburne, ON.

Proud and loving Grandpa to Paige, Jakob (Cassie), Quinn, Grace, Ben, Addie, Abby, Audrey and Avery.  Best friend/spoiler of all of the family dogs-Ruby, Rosie & Leo but especially his best girl Ellaweez.

Peter was a man who was always busy and could build or fix anything.  A hobbyist of model planes, trains, boats & cars.  He even built a 4' PT boat and included all of the tiniest details.  He loved his old cadillacs and kept every car he owned immaculate.

In keeping with Peter's wishes, there will be no funeral or celebration of life.

The family would like to thank the doctors of Huntsville Hospital and the staff & volunteers of Huntsville Algonquin Grace Hospice for providing dignity & comfort in Peter's final weeks.
