Edward Ronald Sheedy passed away suddenly on Friday, July 15, 2022, at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital just 11 days shy of his 87th birthday. Ron was born July 26th, 1935, to parents Edward and Beatrice Sheedy, In Capreol, Ontario. He was raised in North Bay.
Ron loved cars and for many years he owned car lots in North Bay including Tri one Motors, and he brought the First Toyota dealership (Ron's Motors), to North Bay in 1968.
He also raced cars locally and refurbished several vintage cars.
In 1984 Ron and Pat stated spending winters in Lake Helen, Florida.
Ron loved talking to people and made many friends everywhere he went. He was a man of many talents and would tackle any job he put his mind to.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife Pat, and his brother Terry. He is also survived by his loving sons Jim (Sue), Michael (Diane), and loving daughters, Arden (Mike Hamilton), and Marianne (Mike Hacquard). He will also be sadly missed by his stepchildren Richard and Cathy. He was the dearly loved grandfather of Mathew, Michael, Taylor, Devin, Samantha, Joy, and Spencer, Mandy and Kelcey. He loved to play with his great grandchildren Briar, Rayne, Bryce, and Kacey.
Anyone with fond memories of Ron are invited to the Celebration of Life at the Rotary Pavilion, on the waterfront, in North Bay, on Sunday September 11, 2022, from 12:30pm to 4 pm.
We would love people to drop in and share their memories.
